Elena Grigorenko

VP Research & Development

Dr. Elena Grigorenko has over 15 years experience across R&D and product development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries and has participated in several successful commercial product launches.

Prior to joining Diatherix Eurofins, as Director and later Vice-President of Research and Development in February 2013, she served as Associate Director at Life Technologies, Inc where her responsibilities included leadership of high-throughput PCR application team, scientific and business development programs and establishing collaborative studies in the area of genomics with leading academic, government and industrial researchers. She also played a major role in securing 3 years research contract with Food and Drug Administration on development of multiplex PCR panels for detection of blood-borne pathogens.

Previously, Elena served at roles of increased responsibilities at Caliper Life Sciences, Perkin Elmer, Inc and Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She was also a member of Scientific Advisory Board of Nugen Technologies, Inc from 2000-2003. She is author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and three patent applications. Dr. Grigorenko graduated with Honors from Saratov State University (USSR) and received her PhD in Biochemistry from Institute of Biological Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences.

Jennifer Cart

VP Global Sales and Market Development

Jen Cart has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She began her career as a registered dietitian building two businesses and hosting "Knife, Fork and Spoon" a television show in Jacksonville, FL. Her sales experience has spanned pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology. Jen has served in a leadership role throughout her career developing sales tools, sales and marketing strategies, sales training programs, physician programs and serving as an advisor in device product development.

Jen received a BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida.

Betty Hawkins

VP Strategic Initiatives

Betty Hawkins brings 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. She brings a diverse set of skills and broad knowledge of the healthcare marketplace from her vast pharmaceutical experience. She built and led many high-performing teams to achieve results with healthcare clients including payers, hospitals, integrated delivery networks, physicians and employers and in all books of business such as Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid. Her passion lies forming successful partnerships through a personalized and strategic approach resulting in value to the client and to the business while also evaluating the potential impact of external events and market trends on organizational strategies.

Scott Clemmons

VP Systems Development

Scott Clemmons has over 20 years of professional experience in system design and implementation. During this time he has worked in the development of systems used for manufacturing process control, business, missile defense, and biotech for Reynolds Metals Company, Solutia, Caterpillar, Lockheed Martin, and Genaco (as consultant). Scott was involved in the early development of Diatherix systems having worked closely with the COO and CIO in the design and development of the LIS that Diatherix uses today. He has also been responsible for development of client interfaces, the CRM, and the client web portal, among other systems. Scott received his B.S. in Computer Science and is in currently enrolled in a master's program.

Molecular Diagnostics Team

Diatherix Eurofins' clinical and R&D staff incorporates many years of diverse laboratory and educational experience for the development, validation and performance of molecular multiplex diagnostic assays for infectious diseases. Diatherix’s test panels were developed internally by our staff of medical technologists, microbiologists, molecular biologists, chemists and scientists. Additional experience includes the areas of gene regulation and expression, infection and immunity, viral detection systems, protein chemistry, pathology, microarrays, quality control, cancer research, plant biology and biological teaching.
